Food connects us all – but how do you turn ingredients, memories and recipes into compelling stories that resonate with audiences and have impact? In this masterclass, Yasmin Khan draws on her experience as an award-winning and bestselling author, broadcaster and cultural consultant to show how food storytelling works across books, journalism, radio, TV, podcasts and NGO campaigns.

Through short exercises and insider insights, Yasmin will guide participants through the principles of strong storytelling: finding your hook, shaping narrative arcs, interview and research techniques, adding sensory detail, pitching and framing for commissioners and funders, editing for impact, and adapting your voice for different platforms. Whether you’re an aspiring writer, podcaster, campaigner or creative, you’ll walk away with both inspiration and practical skills to bring food stories alive in any medium.

Eating, Drinking, Thinking is a series of exclusive workshops with limited availability. The price of the ticket includes a copy of Yasmin’s new book, Sabzi.

This masterclass is arranged in a cabaret-style seating format. For couples and groups who wish to sit together, please book seats at the same table number at the booking link (subject to availability).
