OCC 2023 – in Northern Ireland

Throughout 2023 the Oxford Cultural Collective continued to work with multiple agencies to develop and promote Northern Ireland as a leading food and drink destination, in ways that benefit the local economy, communities and the natural environment.

In March, OCC curated and hosted Focus on Food, a one-day conference in Belfast, for chefs, producers, policy makers and educators, focused on tactics for strengthening Northern Ireland’s reputation as a gastronomic destination.

The Focus on Food conference dinner, for delegates and guests, was prepared by Chef Robin Gill, of the Darby’s Group (London), alongside Culinary Arts Management students from Ulster University.

Also in March, OCC welcomed tourism managers from across Northern Ireland to Devon, to gain insights into the county’s successful development as a food and drink destination. Curated by OCC Patron Marc Millon, the trip explored Devon’s unique food and drink culture, and considered how it has been shaped to boost high-value tourism.
