Satay Okay! – podcast from OCC Scholarship winner Noby Leong set for launch

Satay Okay!, a new podcast from OCC Scholarship winner Noby Leong and photographer and producer Philip Gibson, takes a deep dive into Malaysian food culture. Far beyond recipes, the podcast examines how key moments in Malaysia’s past are reflected in its food and culture today.

During an extensive research trip to Malaysia, supported by Noby’s OCC scholarship grant, he and Philip recorded interviews with a wide range of food writers, chefs, academics and community leaders, who shared their perspectives on one of the world’s most misunderstood cuisines.

Set for release on 24th September 2025, Satay Okay! will introduce listeners to a Malaysia they have never experienced, featuring diverse communities, cultures and stories.
